hide issue number in APA
I have a simple question concerning the issue number in the APA style. I use zotero standalone with either chrome or safari.
Since the APA style returns a bibliography that includes issue numbers, I tried to hide the issue numbers. In order to do so I deleted:
"text variable="issue" prefix="(" suffix=")"
in the apa.csl file.
Next, I saved the file. Unfortunately, this didn't work. I also tried to save it as a new file and upload it, as stated on the zotero site:
Save the style with a ”.csl” file extension (you can generally do this by simply typing ”.csl” after the name of your file). Then, go to the "Cite" tab in the Zotero preferences. Click on the + sign below the list of installed styles. In the file selection dialogue that opens, navigate to the .csl file you just created and open it. This will install your new style.
This also doesn't work.
Is there a problem with my adjustment of the .csl file (not according to the .csl check) or is the new version of the .csl file not properly installed?
I hope someone can help me out!
