Attachments aren't currently merged (and they may not be able to be in an automated fashion when there are any differences between files (as there would be for most snapshots and even many journal PDFs)).
This screenshot shows double snapshots - after having merged duplicates. Actually they are three items, exactly the same.
I also notice that it is not possible to see how many snapshots the other items in the list contain.
I do not need double snapshots so my question is: is this not "duplicate" in the Zotero terminology ?
right, that's what Dan says.
Duplicate for Zotero purposes only refers to top level items (as these cause actual problems, esp. with citations when they're duplicate), you'll have to delete the extra snapshots manually.
for this purpose, anything that disappears/appears when you click on the little arrow to the left of an item.
Child notes aren't technically attachments otherwise, but they behave the same way in this case.
It seems that I have to delete duplicate pdf attachments manually
They are not detected as "duplicates" ?
So what is a "duplicate" in Zotero terminology ?
