Abstracts not imported from doi

When I import from a PMID I get all of the relevant bibliographic data, including the abstract. When I import from a doi, I don't get the abstract. I searched the forums but couldn't find a fix. Any advice would be appreciated.

    not much to say or do. Abstracts aren't imported for DOIs, they aren't stored in the database we (and anyone else) queries for DOIs. Pubmed does store abstracts, so we get them when we look up PMIDs.

    You will almost always get better, more complete metadata plus abstract if you use the doi to reach the document on the publisher's website. However, some publishers don't provide good metadata. Even when that is the case, metadata from the publisher is still likely to be better than what you will get by entering a doi in the Magic Wand lookup tool.
