Stand Alone Files Not Syncing

Hi, I have searched the discussion forum for an hour and have read: http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/changes_not_syncing
I also made sure that I was using the same log in info on both of my Mac computers, and on the Zotero website.
None of this has solved my problem, and yet my zotero library does seem to be syncing -- when I click on the sync button I go through a series of stages,
"Processing updated data from the sync server" comes up, then I receive a series of
alerts about objects added or deleted, to which I click "OK", I am then
taken through a series of steps to accept one of three entries I want to keep: remote, local or merged, and I receive a final warning: one or more Zotero tags have been added…
And still the files on my stand alone do not appear on my online zotero library. I need them to because I work on two macs, and I need to get them all working together.
What additional steps can I take?
