Not saving from Emerald

Any suggestions - tried several times over last three days but reated message not saved translator error

  • I just grabbed several items from http://www.emeraldinsight.com and they all came through just fine. Could you try resetting your translators and styles from the preferences pane and see if that resolves your issue?

    If you are still having trouble could you post links and the titles of a few of the specific records that fail to translate.
  • Thanks for this it did help for a short while and then the error started again - no particular reference, it does not seem to matter - and trying the resolution again did not work. http://www.emeraldinsight.com.libproxy.unitec.ac.nz:2048/Insight/searchQuickOptions.do

    I will keep trying - but suggestions would be helpful.
  • Still no success - I tried installing Zotero on another computer (running windows XP rather than Vista) - same problem. Also tried accessing emeraldinsight directly rather than through library proxy - still not saving. Reinstalled Zotero with same problem and then installed firefox 3 still not saving.
  • Have tried saving from Emerald.

    The Save to Emerald Icon appears. Clicking on the icon produces Error:
    Could not Save Item.

  • It is still not working for me. This is very frustrating since Emerald also does not offer any other options to export citations.

  • Not working for me either. Same error message as user agiese. Error ID 1449112505.

  • I cannot save from Emerald either. Windows Vista Home Premium SP2, Firefox 3.6. Error message: could not save item. I have tried disabling add-ons etc with no luck.

    This is only an error when I am logged in via athens (via my institution). When I am not logged in (and therefore cannot actually download the article without paying) the entry will save. So I think it might be something to do with the athens cookie?
  • I can also confirm that Emerald doesn't work for me. Regardless of whether I use the institution proxy or not.
  • Emerald does not work for me either.
