Getting stuck on "Processing updated data from sync server"
Hi,
Recently, on my Windows 8 tablet (Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2), Zotero has been unable to synchronize my library. It just gets stuck eternally on the "Processing updated data from sync server" progress bar -- just like described here, but without having Firefox crash/stop responding: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/25453/
Similarly, on the same tablet, Zotero always gets stuck during search queries: When I type something into the search box, a message like "Please wait while search is performed" (or similar) is displayed in the main column of the Zotero panel. This stays forever, but it doesn't seem like Zotero is actually doing something (the task manager shows minimal CPU load). During all this, Zotero does NOT crash -- if I click on the library icon or a subcollection, the appropriate list is displayed.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Matt

2. Check your database integrity from the advanced tab of the Zotero preferences (and if the check fails follow the instructions for repair)
3. If 1 and 2 fail, provide a debug ID covering about 2mins of sync immediately following a Zotero/Firefox restart
http://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output
The database was indeed corrupted. After fixing it with the repair tool, both syncing and search work again.
