single left click on items with attachment always opens attachment ...

its driving me crazy... any ideas, how to solve that problems?

I uncheckt the option to open files within firefox, but now zotero is launching the external pdf-viewer.

I'm running Zotero 4.0.8 on Linux-Mint 12.04 LTS (today updated) with Firefox 20.0.

    doesn't sound like a Zotero issue - behavior on single-click is typically set in the OS, maybe caused by another FF extension.
    Could also be a hardware, i.e. mouse issue, of course.

    I was afraid to hear that... Do you have any idea for a very fast work-a-round?

    use arrow and tab keys instead of the mouse?

    Is this consistent and only specific to Zotero attachments? E.g. opening programs still requires double-click? If it's not consistently opening attachments on single click, you might want top try a different mouse.

    (specifically newer Logitech mice(?) frequently break in that particular way)

    Funny you should mention. I had a similar problem with a Logitech MX Revolution mouse
