Sync behavior with groups

I use Zotero for Firefox. For the purposes of collaborative writing, I wish to create a private group where members can edit. So if two people with different libraries who are members of the same group sync, and they going to end up overwriting their original libraries?

What is a better way to collaborate on a project?

Group libraries appear separate from "My Library", so the group members' personal libraries won't be affected. See e.g. the screenshot at https://www.zotero.org/support/groups#interact_with_groups_through_the_zotero_client to see how it looks in the left-hand column of Zotero for Firefox.
