Turn off update prompting

Is there any way to turn off the pop-up prompts for version updates that appear in the bottom corner of my screen?

(I'm using Zotero Standalone v4.0.)

    obviously not recommended, but if you really want to you should be able to find the relevant preference in the hidden prefs - I believe they are
    update.enabled
    and
    update.auto
    haven't checked though.

    (since these are mozilla prefs they're not listed on that page)

    OK thanks. I'm using Zotero in an organisational setting where individual users don't have permission to install updates and the
    pop-ups can get a little annoying.

    I'll give it a go and post again if it does/doesn't do the trick.
