New York Review of Books citation capture failing (Firefox)

Report ID #767277777

When clicking the Zotero icon in the address bar on this page:
http://www.nybooks.com/blogs/nyrblog/2013/may/20/durer-devil-within/
... the following error is displayed:
Could not save item. An error occurred while saving this item. Check Known Translator Issues for more information.
The address bar shows a magazine article icon. Hovering over the icon shows "New York Review of Books" translator is in use. Zotero appears to be working fine on other sites. I have followed the steps on http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues without seeing any change.

My hunch is that the translator is designed for NYRB articles -- but that this page is a blog post, and blog posts may be structured differently.

Thank you.
  • This should be fixed now. You'll need to update your translators in Zotero Standalone (Preferences -> General -> Update Now) and Zotero Safari extension (Preferences -> Advanced -> Update Translators).

Let us know if it's still not working

    Technical note:

It appears that Google Ad-sense pages that are pre-loaded before redirecting to the final page of the website have changed. Our old way of detecting and skipping them is no longer working. I fixed it here in the translator, but the general problem should just be fixed in the Safari/Chrome connectors. It seems to be working quite well on Firefox.
  • Thank you. It appears to be working now. Much appreciated.

  • I'm having the same problem and updating doesn't seem to fix it.
  • A translator fix is now up. Your version of Zotero will automatically update within 24hs, or you can update manually using the "Update Now" button in the "General" tab of the Zotero preferences.

Any further problems let us know & thanks for reporting (different problem than before. they changed the site again).
