Chicago Manual Style (author-date) doesn't include date

Hej, I am working with the Chicago Manual Style in the author-date format (in brackets behind the quote), but in my Word the reference the date between author and page is missing. It should look like this: Smith 2012, 48; but it looks like that: Smith, 48. Can anybody tell me if this can be changed? Thanks!
  • That should certainly be appearing for you. What type of reference? (book, article, etc.)
  • make sure that you're actually using Chicago author-date (MLA style wouldn't print dates) and make sure the item(s) in question have dates in Zotero.
  • Oh, great, thanks fbennet and adamsmith!

I was using a book chapter in the reference which I connected to the book - I thought Zotero takes those data from the belonging book, but it doesn't.

I inserted the date into the data section for the book chapter - works! BUT: How do I get the editors of the book into the reference list? I can't see a data field for editors for the reference type book chapter.
