Zotero toolbar button missing

Hi,

after reinstalling firefox and zotero I'm not able to choose the zotero toolbar button (=dropdown menu button) in View->Toolbars->Customize. The button simply not appears there. What can I do?

    why do you need the Zotero button in the customize settings? I don't see any extension icons there.

    (To drag it to the top toolbar, I would guess.)

    In Zotero 4.0 there's only one toolbar button, and it's either in the add-on bar at the bottom or the toolbar at the top, not both. You can drag the one from the add-on bar to the top toolbar if you prefer.

    I use zotero for firefox. And I like it, to drop down zotero by a button in my toolbar in firefox (because I have a large screen and I dont want to use the add-one-bar at the button of the screen. Usually I place a button near the url-line because it is at the top of the screen)

    A second reason is, that I dont like the tab-mode of zatero. I like the halfscreen-mode (because only in this mode in zotero appears the add new entry button)

    I have tried to reinstall firefox a second time. And I found the button on the right place (View->Toolbars->Customize). I placed it in the toolbar like I want. After setting "start zotero in halfscreen mode" the button disappears again from my toolbar and it disappers in "View->Toolbars->Customize" to.

    You're aware that you can open Zotero via alt+shift+Z?

    It looks like the "Status bar icon" setting is being reset when you change "Load Zotero In", which seems like a bug, but the issue is still as I describe above—there's one toolbar icon, and it can be in either place. If it's in a toolbar (add-on bar or top toolbar), it won't be in the Customize window, but you can drag it wherever you want it when the Customize window is open.

    Yes I know this option to. But I prefer the drop down button. The solution from Dan Stillman has worked.
