Character encoding option in export properties not saved

When I check "Display character encoding options on export" it does not save the setting. When I reopen the preferences, the checkbox is empty. The character encoding option is never shown in the export dialog.
This seems like a bug to me. Anybody else with the same issue?

I run Zotero 4.0.5 on MacOS Mountain Lion (10.8.3).

    That does indeed look to be broken. We'll fix for 4.0.7. In the meantime, you can toggle that setting manually by going to about:config in the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences and changing extensions.zotero.export.displayCharsetOption to true.
