JSTOR "Could Not Save Item" Errors

Using Firefox (latest version) on my office Windows XP and my home Windows 7 machines, I the the above error message from the following JSTOR entries. (Both are to journals to which my institution's JSTOR subscription does not give access, so I'm finding these on the open web.)

    The actual URL your seeing is something like jstor.org/discover/10... etc. - correct?
    There isn't anything we can do. If you hover over the URL bar icon, you'll see that this actually isn't the JSTOR translator, but just picks up the DOI on the page. That DOI doesn't appear to be registered in the database (CrossRef) where we look it up - that's the failure you're seeing.
    JSTOR itself doesn't provide us with any data on those preview pages.

  • I was facing the same problem, but I figured that I was able to save the item directly from the table of contents of the revue. This way it works for me.
