Opening Preferences in Zotero Standalone takes minutes

When I open Preferences, Zotero freezes for several minutes (5 or so). Below is the Debug from the Console.
Thank you for your help.

I run Mac OS X 10.6.8., Chrome Version 25.0.1364.172, Firefox 19.0.2.
