    I tried his solution, I added one more item and a note to it. It still does'n synchronize. I should also mention that I'm using the Zotero stand-alone app.

    There's a note in your library with an embedded image, which is too big to sync and actually causing the upload process to crash. We'll try to fix it to at least return a proper error message, but you should either remove the embedded image from the note or delete the note and empty the trash.

    Paste 'PMHJTWS4' (without notes) into the Zotero quick search bar to find the note in question.

    Thanks Dan, you're a lifesaver. I had no idea how that image got there, it had no connection with my note.

    Anyway, thanks a lot. I deleted it from the note and emptied the trash and the sync works like a charm.
