No Zotero Icon on Standalone Program for Chrome

To Whom It May Concern,

I just downloaded Zotero for Chrome on my Windows 7 computer, and there is no Zotero icon on the bottom right hand corner of my screen. Neither is there any kind of visible icon that connects me to Zotero when I am online. Sometimes a little folder appears at the right end of the search bar, but it does not appear frequently. How can I access Zotero easily while searching online in Chrome? And is there a way to have Zotero open all the time, the way it was on Firefox?

Thanks for your help,

Adia
  • Download Zotero Standalone (http://www.zotero.org/download/) to use along with Zotero Chrome connector.
  • Zotero for Chrome is not equivalent to Zotero for Firefox.
In Chrome the Zotero extension is just a "connector", which connects Chrome to Zotero Standalone, which you need to download and install separately. You should have Zotero Standalone open while using the Zotero Chrome connector. It will be open as a separate program - accessible through your Windows program bar - not at the bottom of the browser.
  • Thanks for your help!! I got it!!

    Have a nice day!!
