Not syncing on new Mac

I am on a new MacBook Air OS 8.6.2, with Firefox 19.0.2 and was trying to sync my Zotero citations for the first time. My full list of items appears to be in My Library(I don't know the actual count) but Zotero has synced only 15 citations. I have been waiting for over an hour after the 15 citations synced but no more have been downloaded. Have restarted Firefox and tried several times to manually sync, but to no avail. (Gear spins twice, then stops).

Would you check to see what the problem is?

Perhaps I've created difficulties by having bookmarked my initial query from yesterday. My apologies if removing the bookmark is the wrong way to have proceeded. I see as well that I misspoke about the OS: it is Mountain Lion, 10.8.2.

Just to update. I was able to check my older mac this morning. There was a red exclamation point advising me to restart the computer. I did so and the exclamation mark went away. The older computer is syncing just fine. The same problems remain with the new computer.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by this. By "My Library" here are you referring to the web interface?

The syncing problem is the same as it was in my initial posting.

By "My Library" I mean the website Home > People > barrynass > Library

If it's spinning and stopping without an error, the most likely problems are that you're using a different account or you're looking in the wrong place for the items.

If you don't think either of those are true, provide a Debug ID for a sync attempt that doesn't work.
