"new file in the source folder" pop-up message?

From time to time, I receive a "new file in the source folder" pop-up message in the lower right-hand corner of the screen when I didn't do anything (consciously). Its appearance is exactly like the one that comes up when I import a new item from Google Chrome using the chrome extension.

What does this message mean?
