ability to turn full text search of and on...

Since their are discussions about speed issues and because people are often only looking for a specific reference but not articles which side this paper, I would love to see the option to turn fulltext search off. It would be great to see this option implemented as in Thunderbird where you have a small arrow at the search lupe to decide what is going to be searched. Options could be "Reference" (Authors, Title, Journal ...) and "Full text" (inclusing the index pdf files etc).
This would not only be nice because of the speed improvments in searching but also because at least I perform maybe 80% of my searches to find a specific article. After entering the author, for example, I usually get a very long list of articles which are citing the article I am looking for and I still need time to find the right article.

We're planning to add exactly the sort of menu you describe. (There's a similar sort of menu in the Attachment Content field in the Advanced Search window.) I've created a ticket to keep track of it. Thanks.
