Zotero adding "AM" after citation

I am using Zotero (Standalone and Firefox) on a Macbook Pro with OS 10.6.8 and WP Word 2008 for Mac (Word:Mac 2008) and Zotero 3.0.11.1

Sometimes when I am entering citations I get the letters AM immediately after the citation. For example, (Thompson, 2006, p.4)AM

Before the citation appears the screen jumps from the Word page to Zotero then after a short delay back to Word.

I have tried using Zotero Standalone by itself, Firefox by itself, or both simultaneously. I've also tried quitting the running Zotero program and re-starting it, as well as quitting Word and re-starting it.

Sometimes when I start working (and having switched the computer off the problem does not occur.

Nothing works.

Has anyone any suggestions?

An update on the above problem. It happens only when I try to add citations inside a Word table. Can't seem to find either the source of the problem or any way to stop it.

have you tried switching citation style? I'd assume that'd make no difference, but would be good to see.
Also - the "AM" is actually visible, i.e. if you look at a print preview it's still there?

Thanks adamsmith. Yes I tried switching citation style but it didn't make any difference, and I did try printing to see if it showed up - it did.

But after your suggestions I went back and tried again, opening a new document to do so. No problems. Everything worked as normal.

Turns out it is a problem with only the one project document I have been working on, and that document contains tables that have been copied from a much older project document that was probably started in an earlier version of Word.

Not sure how I'll deal with the problem for the project documents, but it is good to find that it almost certainly isn't a Zotero problem.

I encountered this problem too. I solved it by right clicking on the citation and toggling the field code. I then removed the "AM" from the script.

This has come up - pretty rarely - again and it does, indeed turn out to be an issue with citations in tables.
