New with Zetero - Cant find the "save to Zotero" symbol

Hi!

I just have a less than one year old macboook pro,

and downloaded Zotero, synchronized it with my profile and my Office, word program.

When I then enter a library page with a book I want to save, I cant find the symbol to do this. What I have understood is that its suppose to be in the field where I write the internet adress?

What I understood when downloading is that I do not need a standalone and that I can use Safari as my web browser?
Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks!

I recognize that you are new to Zotero so I'll offer some basic suggestions and ask a few questions.

What version of Zotero did you download -- Zotero stand alone or the Firefox plugin?

    What profile?

    What word processor?

Have you been able to download any items to your database? Try going to Amazon and attempt to download a book record.

If you want to use Safari you will need the stand alone version, the Safari connector, and the connection to your word processor.

If you downloaded the Firefox plug-in, can you see the address bar icon when using Firefox as your browser?

If my questions don't make sense, you should view some of the tutorial videos from the Zotero support page. http://www.zotero.org/support/
  • Zotero Standalone for Safari
My own profile at Zotero: juba10
    Office Word Mac 2008
I have not been able to download anything

I have connected it to my word, but I dont know if I have a Safari connector. If this "safari connection" didnt connect when I installed.

What I miss, is the Zotero symbol in my web browser, so that I can "save to Zotero".

I have the dialog box (dont know if this is the right name) from Zotero, where I can manage catalouges and so on.

Thanks a lot! I will look att your tutorials too.
