Is it possible to conduct searches (such as searching pdf content) if you're working in the online version rather than the standalone? If you can only search in a standalone, then can every member of a group search in their respective standalone version (if they are searching within the same larger library) or is the owner the only one who can search the standalone?

you can search in the online version, only within Zotero fields, not in PDF content.
Group members can search in standalone, though will currently have to re-index PDF files (files aren't indexed when synced).
