eprints ORO translator

I wonder if it would be possible to create a site translator for ORO, which at the moment seems not to be recognising metadata (see e.g. http://oro.open.ac.uk/36553/ )

"Open Research Online is running on GNU EPrints repository-creating software, which generates eprints repositories that are compliant with the Open Archives Protocol for Metadata Harvesting OAI 1.1 and 2.0.".......so I don't quite understand why it isn't working, (e.g. for me Southampton's is fine http://eprints.soton.ac.uk/).

Any help much appreciated!

  • that'd be pretty easy to do, but might take a little.
@aurimas - have you ever seen the "eprints.xxx" data in the metadata header? It's there for both Southampton and ORO, would likely be worth exploring as an addition to embedded metadata?
  • Excellent :-) sorry I'm not able to do it myself, at some point I'll endeavour to learn.

I've just come across another eprints site with the same isuse:
http://eprints.biblio.unitn.it/3976/ (and actually, this one which is a much smaller network I think so lower priority http://eprints.pascal-network.org/archive/00006724/ )

    Cheers

  • eprints repositories should now work nicely.
