Upgrade StorageRe-retrieve the metadata
Hi
I have previously used Mendeley and exported some references from there into Zotero with stored PDFs. Now in some cases I would like to re-retrieve the metadata from the stored pdf because it wasn't done properly in Mendeley the first time. How is that possible?
(Right now I have dragged-and-dropped the files unto the desktop, and then back again to Zotero and retrieved the metadata, but this is all a bit slow...)

That said, you can drag the PDF away from its parent item within Zotero, no need to go through the Desktop.
Also, metadata retrieved for PDFs is never going to be as good as that directly from a publisher (Zotero gets the data via DOI from CrossRef in the best case, via google scholar in the less good case, but neither are perfect), so you may want to consider going to the publisher website and retrieving it from there while you're at it.
