Error 1107473516 - note title too long?

Hello,
I use a Mac with the most recent operating system and zotero's most recent version for firefox. When trying to sync today, zotero provided an error message (and will not sync), saying that a title of an item note (an email message) that has been in my database for over a year is "too long." It was not too long - shorter than many others - and is in cyrillic (as are many others). I tried changing it to english, and making it only five words (First LGBT Picket in Moscow) but that has had no effect. The error message seems to suggest that zotero perceives the entire email message as the title (in other words, it doesn't seem to register the 'return' after the title.
I would like to be able to sync... Please advise.
Thanks! valerie
  • Zotero finds the note too long, not its title. It says "title" just to help you find it. Notes that are excessively long mess with the sync infrastructure and Zotero imposed a limit on note length. Split the note up in two or attach it as a file. (the limit is 250kb if I see that correctly, so that'd be _huge_ e-mail. Make sure there is no image embedded in there).
  • It doesn't say anything about a title:
Note 'First LGBT Picket in Moscow 5@2K9 A>3;0A>20==K9 "-?...' too long for item '5XSPWCST'
To make sure you're editing the right note, copy and paste '5XSPWCST' without quotes into the Zotero search bar. It'll show you the relevant item.
