Linux standalone: application menu in top-bar?

Almost all programmes available for ubuntu have their application menu integrated in the menu bar (see http://askubuntu.com/questions/10228/whats-the-right-terminology-for-unitys-ui-elements/62842#62842). Zotero somewhat falls out of tone not doing so...
Is this forum the right place to request such 'feature'?

Kind regards

Edit: oops, see adamsmith's comment below.
  • glotzbach means something slightly different - Ubuntu menus "vanish" at the top of the screen typically - Sebastiaan's packaged ppa version doesn't do that.

This isn't really the right place to ask, though, no:
Zotero doesn't package for individual linux distributions, including Ubuntu. It follows the same model as Firefox in that. Anyone who wants to volunteer to package and maintain Zotero as an Ubuntu package - including the application menu integration - is welcome to. The launchpad thread on that is here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/782079
  • hola,
thanks very much for your replies! I have no experience whatsoever in packaging or coding, but I subscribed to the bug on launchpadand and if I've time I'll see what I can do to bring it closer to reality...
  • It is 2022 now. Has that been achieved yet?
