downloading

I have the most basic of problems - getting started. I've never had such trouble downloading a program before and am feeling a bit helpless and frustrated - with all the information out here, no one appears to have any issue so basic!

I just downloaded Zotero onto my MAC Mini (3.0 for safari). I did what I always do when downloading program for a MAC - just slide the Zotero icon into the "move here to install" (applications) folder. But, when I click on Zotero, it fails to start - I get an error message. For what it's worth, here's the message:
