"type" variable in "Advanced Search"

The "type" variable in advanced search doesn't seem to work either by itself or in conjunction with other search terms. I am using the latest version of standalone Zotero on an Imac running OS X 10.8.2.

    It probably does work, but just does not do what you expect it to do.

    Note that type and item type are different fields. For example, if you create an item with item type "thesis" the type field could contain "Doctoral" or "Master's".
