I try to install the Zotero plug-in for OpenOffice 3.3 using all the 'automated' possiblities... Meaning I assume Zotero identifies the correct installation folder etc.. Hopefully you are able to tell from the error report what the problem might be, because I am at a loss...
I mean, I have the latest version of OpenOffice and as far as I can tell the JRE is active (in OpenOffice preferences). The reason I mention this, is because I have also tried to install manually through OpenOffice -> Tools -> Extension Manager, but I get the error message "Could not create java implementation loader"...
