APA6 citations in word

When manually adding a reference into my library, it doesn't import correctly into my word document (2010). I'm using APA6 and when importing a citation the author/date becomes listed as (Do, Jane, 2012) as opposed to (Do, 2012). It does this for single authors and multiple authors. For the bibliography the author is also listed as Do, Jane instead of Do, J. Any suggestions for fixing this?

    correctly entered references will never produce full first names in APA. It looks like you may have entered Do, Jane in single field mode or in the last name field entirely.
    Compare your manually entered author to an item imported automatically, e.g.
    http://www.amazon.com/Theory-Moral-Sentiments-Adam-Smith/dp/1619491281/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1354748151&sr=1-1&keywords=theory+of+moral+sentiments

    It looks like I had it set for single mode. I'm still new to this software. Thanks for the help!
