Is there any manual on how to use the visual CSL Editor

Hello, Iam trying to learn how to use the Visual CSL editor at http://steveridout.com/csl/visualEditor/. However I havent been able to find any detailed informacion on how to use it. I am currently trying to add a nod for treaties. Iam not sure if thats the correct term though. Thats why I need more information on how to edit a citation style. Also on the tab example citation, I want to add a reference for a treaty, but I dont know what input csl-data.json means. I guess what Iam trying to say, is there a manual out there where I can learn about the termonolgy, and how to use it.
  • there is a manual here:
    https://github.com/citation-style-editor/csl-editor/wiki/User-guide-for-the-CSL-Editor
though it may not cover everything you need.
"csl-data.json" is a data format that you can export from Zotero as "CSL JSON" (right-click on your item -> export selected item --> CSL JSON )
Note, though, that "treaties" don't currently exist as an item type in Zotero - see a list of Zotero item types and the corresponding CSL item types here:
    http://aurimasv.github.com/z2csl/typeMap.xml
  • The best way to ask for help with the editor is either to use the feedback button at http://editor.citationstyles.org/about/ (for specific questions), or contact Mendeley support (the editor is a Mendeley project).
