URL in bibliography for articles

Hallo all,

I have this problem: a lot of articles has in electronic form but they don´t have a DOI. Zotero has field URL for all three types of articles, but it is not possible add this item to list of biblography. Also it is impossible add text [online] for this articles - it is neccessary for e.g. ISO 690. There is no problem, if article has DOI.

    The URL field will be added, depending on your style, your options, and the bibliographic information. For the ISO 690 numeric style (english), an article without page numbers will look like:
    1. A, Libor. Title. In: Journal Title [online]. 2012, Available from: http:www.google.com/.
    With page numbers and without the "include urls of paper articles in references" option:
    1. A, Libor. Title. In: Journal Title. 2012, pp. 2.
    And, with the option checked:
    1. A, Libor. Title. In: Journal Title [online]. 2012, pp. 2. Available from: http:www.google.com/.
  • Sorry, but you use type Conference Paper, not articles! ISO has differrent style of Bybliography record for articles and for conference papers.
  • The general idea is the same, though.
  • O.K. So how I can say to developers, that in Zotero I can add to all types of articles info about URL, but in definition of style this information are not used in output. I tried it - not working.
  • you need to provide more details, I don't follow what you're saying. But I suspect you're overlooking the option "include urls of paper articles in references" that noksagt mentions. It's under Cite --> Styles in the Zotero preferences.
  • No, my example was a journal article. Here's the input data:
    @article{a_title_2012,
    title = {Title},
    url = {http:www.google.com/},
    journal = {Journal Title},
    author = {A, Libor},
    year = {2012},
    pages = {2}
    }
  • adamsmith: you´re right. I had not checked this option. Sorry for all, Zotero is great application.

    noksagt: sorry, I see it in english version, in czech version we use "In:" only for conference papers, for articles we don´t use it.
