Accepting transfer of ownership

My colleague has sent me numerous requests to accept group ownership but when I click on the link I arrive at the group's settings page. No option to accept ownership appears. When I check the members list I still appear as Admin not Owner. If I try clicking on the link again, I get a message stating: Server Error - Something went wrong processing your request.

Please help!

    When was the last time you tried? There was a bug with group ownership transfer for a few days but that has been fixed.

    Your colleague may need to initiate the transfer once more. The server error should be more clear, but that will happen if you attempt to accept ownership when the invitation is no longer pending.

    I am having the same problem. My colleague has tried to send the ownership of the group to me, but everytime I hit the link to accept I get an error message.
