Deleting library entries in stand-alone occurs without a warning

My colleague uses the stand-alone latest version (OS X latest)but whenever she hits delete on an entry, it quickly removes the entry without a warning. When I delete entries on my firefox plug-in version it asks me if I am sure I wish to remove the entry. Is this a normal feature of the stand-alone version, or should there be this fail safe in place. Can it be toggled on or off? If so I couldn't find the toggle.
