ScienceNews website not being imported correctly, snapshot broken.

ScienceNews.org seems to be having trouble. Taking a snapshot of the page is not working for me in either Chrome or Firefox. It just loads and loads. Firefox also did something funny where it picked up a citation that was in the bibliography of the article, but not the article itself. Try this link to see for yourself if it works: http://www.sciencenews.org/view/generic/id/346200/title/Too_little_money%2C_too_much_borrowing
  • There is no site translator for ScienceNews, that's why you're seeing the odd behavior with the item from the bibliography: Zotero picks up the DOI of the citation and imports the item using that.

The snapshot should still work though, it doesn't for me, either.

    It just loads and loads.
What do you mean by this? At what stage is it loading? Does the snapshot appear in Zotero?

I do see non-stop loading when I open up the snapshot (the snapshot saves correctly in Zotero though). It seems that some remote servers are taking a very long time to respond. It is curious, since this only appears to happen in snapshots. I will try to figure this out, but it may not be something we can fix.
  • The snapshot does not appear in Zotero. The little box shows up that it is going into Zotero, but never goes away, and never finishes the import.
  • Is your Zotero (Firefox plugin) up to date? It should be version 3.0.10

If it is, then provide a Debug ID for an attempt to save a snapshot for that page.
