Suggestion: Default Folder for RIS imports

It would be really helpful to be able to designate a specific "folder" as the default for all new RIS imports. So when working on a given project (paper) you designate that project's folder as the "default" and any new imports, instead of getting put into a folder like "citation(1)" get put into the designated, "default" folder.

As it is, every import takes 5 steps:
1) import
2) open Zotero
3) Find the newly imported citation
4) drag it to the desired folder
5) delete the now useless original folder location

    something along those lines is planned (probably just import RIS into the currently selected collection).
    That said - why are you importing lots of small RIS files? That should be the exception, not something you do all the time.

    For me it's the common way to operate... Find a journal on JSTOR or Google Scholar / Books, both of which have a "import" endnote option, which creates a RIS file...
    How else would I go about it? Type all the bibliographic info in myself?

    no, of course not typing it in, but, yes, this suggests you're misunderstanding how Zotero works:

    use the Web translator, aka the URL bar icon
    this works great for JSTOR and GS, among many others.

    sure, but using the URL bar icon still has the same issue doesn't it? The new zotero entry doesn't go where I want it.

    It goes into the collection ("folder") you have selected in Zotero.
