How to transfer group library inside one owner to a separate account

Sorry, it is very hard to phrase this question without a long explanation. One of our group created a library within his account that we could access and get acquainted with Zotero. We now are sold on this product (planning to upgrade memory, etc.) to maximize its use. But now we want to move this library which is embedded in his account to a stand alone account. Is there a process for doing this?

  • Two options, depending on what you want:
    Option 1:

    1. create the new account.

    2. Fill in the username and password of the new account into the "sync" tab of the Zotero preferences of that group member.

    3. sync

    4. remove the sync info from that person's account

    Option 2:
    1. Create a group

    2. drag all items/collections over to the group.

    3. Sync

    4. Have everyone in the working group join the group


    Which is better depends on what exactly you need.
