DataCite as well as CrossRef for DOI
Dear all,
At the moment, Zotero is based on CrossRef to get references from the DOI (with the Magic Wand). CrossRef gathers DOi from commercial publications.
My question is: Is there any plan to add DataCite to the Magic Wand function so that we can get the same with academic non-profit DOI (like thesis, digitized documents, etc.)?
As far as I know, there are no other database than CrossRef and DataCite that gather DOI. And it would be great to have access to all the DOI world...
Thanks.

Here are two examples from two differents sources used at EPFL:
1) 10.5169/seals-80025
2) 10.3929/ethz-a-006490351
The first one comes from retro.seals.ch (platform of retrodigitized journals).
The second one is a swiss PhD thesis.
Both have an entry and metadata available from Datacite:
1) http://search.datacite.org/ui?&q=10.5169/seals-80025
2) http://search.datacite.org/ui?&q=10.3929/ethz-a-006490351
EPFL PhD theses will soon be available on DataCite. And it would be great if we could say to our students "you can add EPFL theses in one click".
