How to make Zotero not cite the url field

Hi,
I was wondering whether there is a way to make Zotero not cite the urls of items a part from editing the citation style. Is there someone that can help me in this issue? Thanks a lot.

    Before someone can help, you need to tell us the citation style you are using and provide examples of the items you are citing. It is also important to report the source of the record that includes the URL in the citation. What database did you use? Was it a publisher's website? Are you referencing a report that you downloaded? Etc.

    It could be that the URL is correct for the selected style and another style will better suit your needs.

    in general, though, yes: You need to change either the item data or a citation style to remove URLs.
