Do you need Zotero Standalone to be able to use Zotero Connector?

I'd like to be able to add items from Chrome, which is my default browser, but am not ready to fully migrate to Zotero Standalone from Zotero for Firefox, which I've become so accustomed to. I can have the best of both worlds if I could use Zotero Connector with Zotero for Firefox.

Also note that, even without changing this setting, you can just open Zotero Standalone when you want to use Chrome. Standalone shares the data directory with Zotero for Firefox by default, and Zotero for Firefox will automatically switch into connector mode when Standalone is opened and revert to its regular mode when Standalone is closed.

(If you do change the setting, as noted on that page, you'll need to be sure to disable the setting if you decide to use Standalone at a later date.)
