pubmed import not working

Since today, I have not been able to add references from pubmed to my library. Whenever I try to do so, either in Fireox, chrome or safari, an error message pops up saying that "unable to save item, known translator issues blah blah..". I know this to be a recent problem, since zotero was working fine a few days back. I can still import thorugh the wand and PMID, but its a pain to import several references at one go. An even stranger thing is happening in Google Scholar, when i am trying to import, the window pops up diplaying the name of all the references and it seems like it is executing the import. The references are progressively added to the library, but at the end of the import, all the recently added references suddenly disappear without warning.
