The selection does not contain any editable citations

Hello,

Pressing the right mouse over a reference (inserted using Zotero of course) in Word 2007 opens the context menu which has the entry "Edit citation(s)". However, this entry does not seem to be connected with Zotero but rather with the installed Reference Manager 10 since I get the error message "Reference Manager 10: The selection does not contain any editable citations".

I can still edit the citation using the toolbar but the context menu entry would be far more convenient.

Does anybody know how to use Zotero from the context menu?

you can't - Zotero doesn't use the context menu in Word at all. I don't think that's planned, either.

That said, it's possible to attach keyboard shortcuts to the Zotero toolbar functions in Word or Libre Office: http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_shortcuts

Thanks adam. So I will probably go with your hint and create a shortcut to edit a citation.
