What does zotero change zotero.sqlite?

I am using subversion to manage my zotero database. I found that zotero.sqlite and zoterl.sqlite.bak were changed when I did not touch anything in the database. Actually I did not open zotero at all from yesterday and I found that both were changed.

The DB changes are from the daily translator/style updates.
