Online Zotero was completely down: Error Report: 1773573365

Error Report: 1773573365

Hi there,

Zotero seems to be working now, but this morning it was not syncing and when I tried to submit an error report it would say: "Invalid response from repository"

I could use Zotero Standalone to work on my documents, but I could not use Zotero in Firefox to work on my documents.

I'm submitting this in case it is helpful to figure out what was going on.

Also I could not log-on to zotero.org until recently. If I am unable to submit a report or log-on to zotero.org, how can I contact support in the future when I have a problem?

    but generally, if zotero.org is down and sync isn't working you can just assume it's a server problem and will go away by itself.
    I could use Zotero Standalone to work on my documents, but I could not use Zotero in Firefox to work on my documents.
    I don't understand this part, though, and it suggests you're misunderstanding something. You no more need to be able to sync with zotero to use the Firefox version than with the standalone.

    Thanks for your response.

    In terms of the Standalone v. Firefox issue... I tried adding a citation with just Firefox open and Word did nothing. Then I opened the Standalone version, and I was able to add a citation. I then closed the standalone version to see if the Firefox plugin would work, and it would not.

    But now it is all working again.
    I just wanted to let you know it happened.

  • OK - that was a fluke, unrelated to the other issues then.
