No, it wasn't. 3.0.8 is a minor version. "The next version after 3.0" means the next major version, whatever that ends up being (3.1/3.5/4.0). This may or may not actually make it into the next release after 3.0, since that's on a forced schedule due to an upcoming Mozilla change, but if not it'll certainly be in the release after that.
