Folders containing subfolders

Is there a way (in Zotero 3.0.8 Standalone on OSX 10.8) of creating a folder like "My Library" that contains all the contents of all its subfolders as well as items unique to itself? This would on occasion—actually, practically always—be quite useful.

set the "recursiveCollections" hidden pref to true:
