Report ID: 1982998620: File sync error occurred (error happening repeatedly)

I am new to Zotero and trying to sync for the first time, but am having this error repeatedly, even after rebooting and restarting Zotero as instructed.

I am using Zotero Standalone for a PC running Windows 7.

I am attempting to participate in a large "Blue Ridge Parkway" group managed by user "amwdew" (Dr. Anne Whisnant). I have successfully joined the group and do see the appropriate "Group Library" within my Zotero, but am not seeing ongoing changes to it. For instance, someone else in the group added another subcollection, but I am not seeing that.

It appears that I have some synced data, but cannot successfully complete a sync. Please advise on what to do. Thank you.
  • Are you still getting this? If so, provide another Report ID.

    But a file sync error shouldn't prevent you from seeing data changes, which are synced first.
  • Hi Dan, this is a student in my class, and this error report ID was generated this morning (9/7, 11am). Do you need an additional, new attempt and another error ID? It took us nearly 1 hour of sitting and syncing for this error to show up.

    And I'm not seeing Daniele's data changes, as of about an hour ago, so something appears not to be working with that.
  • For data changes, see Changes Not Syncing. That shouldn't be related to a file sync error, though.

    There was a server instance that was having problems this morning, and it might have produced some intermittent syncing errors, but those should be resolved now.
