problem with locales

Hi,

I have a unique situation. I am writing style that is bilingual.

I need to name the months when there is date of access (accessed), were in French, while in other cases (date of issue) were in English.

Is something like this possible to do?

It's not very clear to me. Do you mean that you want to display the "Accessed" date in French and the issued "Date" in English? That's not possible with standard CSL/Zotero.

Multiple locales in a single document are possible with Multilingual Zotero (MLZ) but that's not what you need here.

while that's correct, depending on the exact format you need it may be possible to hack this - specifically, it won't be possible if both formats require months names or their abbreviations. But if at least one of the date formats is numbers only - something like 12-13-2004 or so - this can be coded.

This is now possible using MLZ (linked by Gracile above). In multi-lingual layouts, the "accessed" date variable (only) will now always be rendered in the default locale, even where the locale is temporarily shifted to the language of the target source.

I've posted a note to the forum thread linked by Gracile, but that's basically all there is to it.
