Notes at a glance

Is there a way for me to see my notes at a glance? I'm thinking something like LibraryThing's user interface, where my books are in a big, editable table and I can choose which columns to display. I was going to attach a screenshot - is that not possible here?

Overview note at the top tied to the "collection" would also be nice.

    No, because there can be many child notes per parent item.

    But you can just expand the parent items. If you click an item and press "+" (the plus key), it will expand all items.
